My name is Meghan Jackson and I have been a musician most of my life. Starting out on cello in the fifth grade, I fell in love with music. During elementary and middle school, my mother taught me piano. In high school, I took choir and my whole world changed. I had found my calling as a singer.

I attended Linfield College and received a Bachelors in Music, then went on to the University of Illinois and received a Masters in Vocal Performance. I moved back to the Pacific Northwest and became a member of the Portland Opera Chorus, where I sang for 17 years.

When I moved back to Oregon after graduate school, I also began teaching private voice and piano lessons. I realized how much I loved giving private instruction. 22 years later, I am still blessed to be doing what I love!

I teach all ages, from preschool to adult. I teach all skill levels, so don’t be afraid to start from the very beginning with me! I believe in teaching solid, classical technique in both voice and piano. That classical technique can then be applied to whatever music style you want to study: Jazz, pop, music theatre, etc.

I always strive to make the lessons fun. So, of course I will teach technique and music theory, but I will always apply it to songs that interest you!

I have found families love when a teacher will come to their home so I am a mobile teaching service! I will gladly come to your home to teach.

Let’s make music together.
